Ringa Ringa - Slumdog Millionaire

I don't think I need to say anything about Slumdog Millionaire. Everyone knows it was a huge hit. So far as A.R. Rehman is concerned, he's one of the best music directors. I've always liked Ringa Ringa more than Choli Kay Peechay Kya hai. A lot of people think Ila Arun is cheap but I think what she does has some sort of appeal & everyone cannot sing in that manner. Alka definitely has a beautiful voice & when these 2 women sing together, what they create is bound to be a success. Sorry I couldn't find a proper clip with people. Which is why I'm posting some pics of the artists. Moreover I always thought 'khatmal' happens to be dumb, but they are telling us the story of a wicked khatmal.
Last but not least, both love birds Dev Patel & Freida Pinto are quite over-rated. And Anil Kapoor looked cuter than the hero & heroine even in this get-up.

'Slumdog Millionaire' star's home destroyed

'Slumdog Millionaire' child actor Rubina Ali lost all her good memories to a slum fire on March 4. Her hut was burnt down in a massive fire. More than 2000 homes were destroyed in that fire.

"I lost all the books, wooden toys, photographs and awards that I received for the film," she said in a choked voice.

"I had kept all the newspaper clippings that reminded me of how I became famous after 'Slumdog Millionaire'. Now everything is gone," she said.

Rubina was just 8 year old when she played the role of Latika in 'Slumdog Millionaire.’

Her family has been given a flat by the Jai Ho trust but they didn’t move there earlier on.

"But it will still take us a month to move there," Rafique (Rubina’s father) said

"Had we moved in there earlier, we would not have had to see this day," he added.

The movie 8 Oscar awards in 2009. It’s really saddening that Rubina has lost everything in that fire.

Rahman collaborating with Dido?

Double Oscar-award winning Indian music composer A.R. Rahman has revealed that he's coming out with a music video..

"Hey Guys, watch out for the world premiere of my new music video… coming soon," he tweeted.

The 44-year-old also linked a picture with the comment, that shows him wearing a suede jacket and goggles near a helicopter. He, however, leaves the viewers at the mercy of assumptions that it is the video of the popular song 'If I Rise'.

The Mozart of Madras, as he is fondly called, has apparently also bagged a Golden Globe nomination for his soundtrack for '127 Hours', which is his second stint at Hollywood's second most prestigious annual movie prize after Boyle's Mumbai-based underdog drama 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

The Chennai-based composer is competing in the Original Score for a motion picture category at the gala.

Starring 'Spider-Man' star James Franco, the movie is a biopic about mountaineer Aron Ralston, who was trapped in a canyon for five days by a boulder that fell on his arm and he freed himself by amputating the limb.
