Lagi Aaj Saawan Ki Phir Wo - Chandni

Now this is another beautiful rain song but it's another thing it's very sad & painful. But I'm sure many can relate to it. I once read that you must hear this song at night. I believe you can feel the pain at any time of the day. It evokes those emotions that you may have experienced many years ago. I think this song has it.

'Woh hee tou hai mausam magar rut nahin woh
Meray saath barsaath bhi ro pari hai.'

How very painful! But it touches ones heart.

Well I specifically like this stanza:

'Koi kaash dil pay bas haath rak de
Meray dil kay tukron ko eik saath rakh de
Magar yeh hain khwaabon khayaalon ki baatein
Kabhi toot kay cheez koi juri hai.'

You know what I didn't like the movie Chandni as such. It's only when Vinod Khanna enters in the 2nd half then the movie becomes bearable. The romance between Sridevi & Rishi Kapoor was ultra-cheap. No doubt it was genuine but very cheap.

Very, very sexy song!

I think everything was so easy, because he was invisible :P And it's raining in the song...not right from the beginning, but I guess it counts. This is indeed a very sexy song. But I didn't like Mr. India. I also don't like the way Sridevi is dancing or whatever this is & she says 'jab aa hee gai main pass teray keh doon jo dil mein hai meray'...when you're making such moves, it won't be that difficult to say anything, or maybe it's just the same situation like Dhak Dhak karnay laga ho mora jiya ra darnay laga in which Madhuri was also scared since she was a kachchi kali but the dance moves say otherwise. After making such bold moves, one shouldn't act timid.

Oh I love these lines: 'Katay nahin katatay yeh din yeh raat, kheni thi jo tum say jo dil ki baat, lo aaj mein kehta hoon!'

Neele Neele Ambar Par Chaand Jab Aaye – KalaKaar

The guy is Manoj Kumar's son Kunal & his other son Vishal tried his luck as a singer. Kunal wasn't that bad but somehow he didn't click.

Again this is one of my favourite songs. Whatever you say about Kishore Kumar's voice, still something would be left. He's got a very beautiful voice. I also like the lyrics.

Par aisa kuch nahin hota: 'Aisa koi saathi ho, Aisa koi premi ho, Pyaas di ki bujha jaaye.' However, it was nice to think of all that as a teenager. We are like that ' dil mera lalchaaye koi tou aa jaaye.' And I'm talking about people who admit such things...not those who just pretend & regard those who are being honest as cheap.

I even liked how he says: 'Saanson ki garmi ko haathon ki narmi ko, Mera mann tarsaaye koi tou chhoo jaaye.' But this is good poetry. However, in real life it's not like that ...you will go & say something in Shakespearean language & you may get that. So don't get ideas :P

Btw, this movie was released in 1983. Sridevi looked quite healthy but she has beautiful eyes. Even today she looks more like a doll.

Boney Kapoor Opting For A Corporate Job At 56!

Sridevi's husband - Boney Kapoor has decided to take up a corporate job at the age of 56 and this has shocked the entire film industry. He will be working as the head the television division of an entertainment giant at a rather handsome remuneration.

The reason for his choice to opt for a 9 to 5 job at this point is that the couple are facing a cash crunch. Although, Boney's two movies No Entry and Wanted did extremely well at the box office but he borrowed money for two other movies and one of them is an incomplete venture. Thus, he has to pay back the debtors in this regard.

Secondly, the more obvious and luxurious reason for this decision is that the Kapoor's have a fancy lifestyle and even in this hour of crisis, they are not ready to compromise in anyway. Sridevi's lifestyle is yet another major element that is the highlight in the entire scenario. It is said that she is an extremely high maintenance wife and does not wish to compromise in her expenses.

Every month, the Kapoor's spend Rs 25 lakh on themselves. The expenditure includes Sridevi's cosmetics, wardrobe and weekly beauty clinic visits at the most expensive salon in Mumbai. Besides, the family has a fleet of cars, they go to Europe or America each year and dine out often.

Wow! I feel like puking. I guess Boney Kapoor is blindly in love with Sridevi and he goes out of the way to make her feel comfortable but Sridevi has totally disappointed me. Very self centered at this age also. Who goes to the salon every week for lavish treatments?....I mean yester year beauty queens can chill out on this expense at least. Sorry to say, her dress sense is also quite bad if she spends so much on them. I am sure, the lady would not be moving her ass in the house with such an uncompromising attitude. At least, in the tough times, one can give up on luxuries to support one's husband. This is quite the behavior of illiterates.

I hope every woman gets a husband like Boney Kapoor (I mean similar loving attitude) but it sounds painful to have such an uncompromising wife. Anyway, Sridevi and Boney seem content with the way things are going...so we can just keep watching.

This lady was a model, then she worked with Emraan Hashmi, then she went for studies & as of now, she's attending this wedding. And she's the only one who looks fresh. She's all dressed up for a wedding & she looks good & happy.

Juhi Chawla says ‘I Am’ also the producer

After producing films like Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani & Chalte Chalte, Juhi Chawla will now be seen as an associate producer this time with Onir. She has been helping them raise investors for the movie ‘I Am’ & at that time, she expressed the desire to work an as associate producer. Onir, Sanjay Suri and Juhi go back a long way right from their ‘My Brother Nikhil’ days.

Says Onir, “After we completed the entire shooting, Juhi expressed the desire to join us as an associate producer. Her addition to our team will be a big asset. I want my association with Juhi to be a very long-lasting one.”

Interestingly, Juhi has also been signed in the movie along with Manisha Koirala. She’s playing the role of a Kashmiri Pandit who returns to Kashmir after 20 years. Although Juhi hardly comes in movies, but whenever she does, it’s always a treat to watch her. She will always look sweet & cute. Forever is the word for her. I think these actresses Juhi, Madhuri & Sridevi – they were/are all very decent. I’m so sorry to say, but we would forget the actresses of today once they are off the screen. This is not so with Juhi, Sridevi & Madhuri.

While reporting about the latest updates we sometimes tend to forget the super stars of the yester years. Sridevi is one such celebrity who has been the biggest stars of her times. Sridevi was born in 1963 and has acted in hundreds of Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Telegu films for which she has won many awards as well.

Sridevi started acting when she was only four years old but started getting attention from the late 70's. She was known for her big eyes and ever youthful looks. She worked with people much older and much younger than herself but she remained to look like a timeless beauty.

She has won awards for her performances in various films in different languages. She has won four Filmfare awards for best actress category in ten years time.  She was nominated for Filmfare best actress category eight times otherwise when she didn't win the award.

She married Boney Kapoor the famous producer and brother of Indian actor Anil Kapoor in 1996. She left the film industry in 1997 to take care of her children. She is the only Indian actress who is known as the "Female Amitabh" and the "The First Female Super Star of Bollywood." She ruled the industry for more than ten years and was one of the most highest paid actresses as well.

After her retirement she has focused a lot on painting, which is recognized at an international level as well. She donates the money that is received through the auction of her paintings.

Lamhe was my favorite film of all time. Sridevi won the Filmfare Best Actress award for this movie. The songs were too good in this movie. Must have watched this movie and this scene a zillion times.

Shot from one of the most popular romantic songs of the Hindi cinema from Mr. India. Till this day people hum this song.
