Tweets of great people

While having my tea in the morning (it’s not actually morning, but I call that morning as it’s morning for me), I often go through one of the dailies to check out my horoscope & there I sometimes happen to read 5 or 6 tweets by celebrities & others.

Anupam Kher mostly shares quotes & it’s sure fun to read them. In fact the other day I heard on TV that he has started his book with this quote: Bheega wa insaan barish say nahin darrta. I really liked it.

However, the reason why I’m writing this blog post as yesterday I read two very different kinds of tweets. Here goes the 1st one:

“If learning is available even from an unaccomplished source, or person of lesser means, never hesitate to acquire it.”

Amitabh Bachchan

Whether you practice it or not, the idea itself is sublime. You have to have a very open mind to suggest something of the sort.

Now this is the other tweet:

“Teachers call it cheating, we call it teamwork.”

Meera

Now I don’t expect much of actress Meera. She’s an illiterate & she may think cheating is one hell of a thing. Maybe that’s why she tells us that she was 10 year old when she joined the industry. You know my elder siblings who are much older than me have got these scars on their arms; at that time, a particular shot was given to prevent smallpox in children. Meera jee has that particular scar on her arm & if we believe Meera jee about her age, then she’s at the moment even younger than my kid sister. I’m sure cheating & lying for the sake of lying may not be anything in her eyes.

I’ve also noticed that many so-called educated people only try to sound smart while tweeting. This is an absurd trend & I’m sorry to say but I’ve seen this germ for the most part in Pakistanis. It’s never about saying something nice, it’s more about try to act smart & say something mean or to just belittle someone. Is smartness such a big deal? That one should forget values & morals while passing statements on others. And I think a smart person never has to try hard to give evidence about his smartness to the world. The world must be aware of it without his ever scribbling anything on twitter.

Meera Defamed Mahesh Bhatt To Get Publicity

I am wondering why do Pakistani actresses go to Bollywood so often only to make us feel bad back home. Anyhow, the latest story of Meera is quite embarrassing.

We all know that it was Mahesh Bhatt who gave Meera her big break in Hindi cinema with his film 'Nazar' and then she worked in one other movie called 'Kasak'. Since then she has been dying to work in Bollywood but perhaps she didn't get no good offers.

It is heard she is making a comeback in India but before that she has received lots of hard work to gain publicity. Meera decided to accuse Mahesh Bhatt, her self-confessed mentor. Her recent statements were shocking when she blamed Mahesh Bhatt for her departure to Pakistan. She said that it was not her decision to not work in Hindi films but Mahesh asked her to leave India. He did not like her being famous and interacting with other directors. In fact, she alleged that Mahesh Bhatt was possessive and physically abusive and it was him who made her leave Bollywood.

Mahesh Bhatt has an absolutely different story to tell where he openly calls her mad. This is what the filmmaker tweeted about Meera, 'Narcissistic Personality Disorder is the possible ailment Meera could be suffering from. Such people have a larger than life persona.'

His brother, Mukesh Bhatt defended Mahesh by saying that when he introduced Meera in Nazar, he didn't really know that they were entering into unknown territories with a mad woman. He went on to call her a 'nut case' and that she is only trying to defame Mahesh Bhatt and this is her way to promote her upcoming film.

Anyhow, Meera has taken back all these accusations saying she was just joking. This is perhaps the worst and most silly response she could have given. I don't know why was she demeaning Veena Malik when she herself is playing even lower stunts. Even Ashmit Patel considered her a mad woman who wanted her to stop chasing him.Wow, how uncool is this story. How insulting is that the filmmakers are calling her a psycho so openly. Meera, I always knew such a day will come soon.

Meera Totally Shuns Veena's Act In Bigg Boss

Well, we do know Meera is too controversial a woman to say anything about someone else. But she doesn't stop. The moment Veena stepped out of Bigg Boss, Meera's monologue began. She disapproved of Veena's behavior completely.

Meera was herself disliked for her intimate kissing scene in her Indian movie, Nazar, with again Ashmit Patel. But she didn't like Veena's touchy act with Ashmit on Bigg Boss.

Veena Malik is acting very cheap. The way she presented herself in front of Indian audiences is not right. She is denigrating the image of Pakistani women. This is not how women in Pakistan are," Meera, who is in India to shoot for diector Faizal Khan's Hindi movie 'Om Allah', said.

"She's doing all this because she is hungry for fame. She has no self-respect and is ready to do anything to become famous," Meera said.

"She's like that even in Pakistan. She tries to copy everyone. She can never be her own self. This is not the right thing to do as there are many other nice ways to become famous. Why stoop down to cheap tactics," she asked.

Meera claims she was also approached to be a part of 'Bigg Boss' twice, but she refused it.

"I was approached to be the part of the show before and even for this season but when I came to know that Veena will also be a part of it, I refused," she said.

After 'Nazar', Meera featured in another Bollywood moive 'Kasak' with Lucky Ali.

After doing 'Kasak' in 2005, this is Meera's first Bollywood movie in five years.

"After 'Kasak', I went back to Pakistan. Later my parents did not allow me to act here as I was too young and they thought I might just fall for someone here (India) and get settled permanently," she said.

"Moreover, the tension between India and Pakistan also kept me away. But now I am back and hope to sign more Bollywood projects," she said.

Back home, Meera has been actively involved in charity work and has been working with former cricketer Imran Khan to raise funds for Pakistan's flood-affected victims.

"We would like to rope in Rani Mukerji for helping us to raise funds for the flood-affected victims in Pakistan. I plan to meet her during my trip here," she said.

She has also expressed a desire to do charity work with Salman Khan and his Being Human organisation.

It is absolutely silly blabbing about Veena now that she is already out of there. When she was there people were just mum about it. It's useless to talk now. The party is over.
