Imran's surprise on-screen seduction

When it comes to intimate scenes, Imran Khan is not Emraan Hashmi. I think the entire world knows this, but both of them are gentlemen. However, in his new venture ‘Short Term Shaadi’ we hear there is an intimate scene & he’s not the one seducing the woman. In fact he’s the one who is being seduced.

Imran plays a neat freak in the movie. This particular seduction scene happens on a date with a hottie played by Soniya Verma. But what happens is more hilarious than romantic.

Soniya’s character wants to get close to Imran, but he just can’t get his mind off the fact that they’re in a bathroom that could be crawling with germs. So while Soniya cosies up to him, Imran just can’t wait to get away. It all ends, apparently, with Imran actually using a shower spray to get away from Soniya!

Kareena: Nothing run-of-the-mill for me

Kareena had a 100% success rate in 2010 with GOLMAAL 3 (blockbuster), WE ARE FAMILY (average) and MILENGE MILENGE (coverage) ensuring that she was the only major actress to end the year without a flop. And not to forget that most part of her early 2010 was spent in rejoicing with the success of 3 IDIOTS that had spilled over from its 2009 Christmas release. Now that the New Year has begun for her, Kareena is positive about being seen in more challenging assignments.

"Really, there is no particular role that I have in mind ki mujhe ye zaroor karna hai ya phir aise perform karna hai. But yes, it has to be a worthy enough challenge for me to say yes to it. There cannot be anything which is run-of-the-mill," says Kareena when questioned if after spending a decade in the industry, is there is any particular criteria that she has set for herself in her choice of films.

2011 is looking like another busy year for Kareena with at least five major films in the pipeline. While Ra.One with SRK is the biggest of all, there is one with Salman Khan in the form of Bodyguard. It is also more or less confirmed that she would be giving company to Aamir Khan in his yet untitled psychological thriller. With beau Saif Ali Khan she would be seen in Agent Vinod while there is also (tentatively titled)Short Term Shaadi with Imran Khan.

"Well yes, let me admit that in this context there has been a conscious call to pick different genres from the films that excite me most," says Kareena, "Even earlier I have done films like OMKARA and CHAMELI which weren't exactly mainstream. Last year's WE ARE FAMILY was a difficult role as well which was totally performance oriented. Now 2011 would have a mix of different subjects and films as well."

Busy Tusshar has four releases lined up in 2011

Tusshar Kapoor is mighty excited with the way 2010 folded up for him. While his GOLMAAL 3 stayed on to be the second biggest success of the year after DABANGG, he also finished shooting for Shor, Run Bhola Run & Love U Mr. Kalakaar! Meanwhile Hum Tum Aur Shabana made good progress as well, hence making it an engaged year for Tusshar.

"I guess I can stand up and say that I was busier than ever right through 2010", smiles Tusshar who is now biding his time before he signs another film, "Can you believe that I was actually doing double shifts for quite a few days? There were times when I was promoting GOLMAAL 3 in the day and then shooting in night.

"Well, agar iss umar mein kaam nahi karoonga toh kab karoonga", smiles Tusshar, "There is no reason whatsoever to complain. Agar kuch achcha kaam karna hai aage jakar toh you have to go through phases like these as well. In any case I am very happy with the way 2010 has gone by. It was quite good, especially after 2009 when it was a period of lull for me."
Meanwhile there is also a buzz that Tusshar would soon be kick starting another film which would release before end of year. This would make it five in a row for Tusshar in 2011.

"Well, let a formal announcement in this regard come in", smiles Tusshar, "But yes, I won't deny that there is something interesting on the anvil. It is good to be working continuously."

Kareena's various avatars

She has been in the business for a decade now. Meanwhile Kareena is sure that she won't stop experimenting with her looks and body, something that she has been fashionably doing ever since the beginning of her career. In the year gone by, she went casual in Golmaal 3, WE ARE FAMILY as well as 3 IDIOTS. No one complained and in fact complimented her for the ease with which she carried the look. On the other hand when she went all out with 'Tashan' and then KAMBAKKHT ISHQ, the results saw a mixed reception from audience as well as industry in general.

"But then everyone would unanimously agree and state that this was one actor who tried hard. Don't you think so", questions Kareena, "I have constantly tried to reinvent myself. One has to because there is no formula or plan around what would eventually work and what wouldn't. You can't gauge that when you first take a plunge."

No wonder, the entire debate surrounding size zero is a thing of the past and Kareena has now left that phase behind her.

"To get into a physical transformation is not an easy thing to do", she smiles, "When I came forward with a size zero figure, I enjoyed it. Now for my films to come, there is a different Kareena that audience will see. The one who is on a slight voluptuous side."

Well that would be something quite interesting for many of her fans out there who were waiting to see her get into a different 'avtar'. Given the fact that Kareena has a huge 2011 lined up with Ra. One, Agent Vinod, Bodyguard, Short Term Shaadi and a film with Aamir Khan, there is quite some 'experiment with looks' that Kareena can afford in months to come.
