Kangana Ranaut - the next karate kid!

Actress Kangana Ranaut is in love with the entire KARATE KID series including the recent one with Jaden Smith but confesses she is a fan of Hilary Swank and feels she did an amazing job in THE NEXT KARATE KID.

As recent news suggests, Kangana herself is taking personal training lessons and she says, "I wanted to be completely prepared physically before we kick started shooting."

With such growing enthusiasm and zeal, seems like Kangana's all set to be the first female ever in Bollywood to showcase her karate moves on the Silver Screen.

Ashish Chowdhry As A Sexy Woman

Ashish Chowdhry has received lots of praise from his friends and fans for this new look of his. Ashish had to tone down his very macho body for his role in 'Double Dhamaal'.

Ashish is playing multiple characters in the movie and for one of the characters he will be seen portraying this sexy woman trying to seduce Sanjay Dutt. Since Ashish himself has an impressive macho body, he and the director decided that he should tone down his body to look like a sexy chic.

I think, Ashish looks pretty sweet from the face in the women get up though his body does look quite broad even now. But compared to all the other men who portrayed female characters, he definitely stands out in a positive way.

Others in the cast include, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukj, Javed Jafri, Mallika Sherawat, Kangna Ranaut and Satish Kaushik.

Kangna defies age for 'Game'

Kangna Ranaut will be turning 24 but in her movie Game, she is playing someone who could well be 10 years her senior. Many believe if Anupam Kher could play double his age in Saaransh, why not Kangna? After all, she has proved time & again that she acts pretty good & with utmost maturity. Seriously speaking, I don’t expect much of Sara Jane & at that other lady in the movie.

"Kher saab was in his mid-30s when he played the role of a retired 65 year old man in 'Saaransh'. He was brilliant in his craft due to which Mahesh Bhatt had no hesitation casting him in such a difficult role. I see similar fire in Kangna. She is extremely hardworking and wants to be put in challenging roles. The day I met her, I knew that her age won't be an issue and she would blend well with her character," says the film’s director Abhinay Deo.

"She went through a complete metamorphosis when it came to body language and an overall persona," says Abhinay, "Kangna also went through a look change by donning a non-glam avtar. She is conscious about the fact that since she is so young in real life, she has to put additional effort to look and behave the part. However she has such an incredible screen presence that age ceases to be an issue."

However, Kangna is a little pissed at these discussions on the age difference.

"Ever since the beginning of my career, I have played a matured woman in films like 'Gangster', 'Woh Lamhe' and 'Life In A Metro'. Even in 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai', I wasn't a teenager. I don't see what's the big deal if I play a seasoned officer in 'Game'," she snaps back.

Salman recently invited Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt & Kangna. They are playing the lead in David Dhawan’s Rascals. While they were shooting for Rascals in Pattaya, they got a call from Sallu bhai. He wanted them to do a cameo in Anees Bazmee’s Ready in Bangkok. Naturally all 3 of them agreed as no one says no to Salman Khan…of course when he requests someone nicely.

No wonder friendship in Bollywood is as famous as enmities & grudges.

The truth about Mallika Sherawat & Kangana Ranaut

Just like always too many rumours are circulating & we may never know the truth. On second thought, many of us are not even interested in the real story. We just want masala on a daily basis. Some people have been spreading rumors that Mallika Sherawat is having issues with Kangana. Both the ladies are shooting for Indra Kumar’s Double Dhamaal, which is the sequel of Dhamaal.

Mallika was not in the mood of explaining, but she is an intelligent woman. She just posted her picture with Kangana on a social website with the caption ‘the truth about me & Kangana Ranaut.’ This was definitely a smart move.

Now I’m going to use the rotten line. A picture is worth a thousand words & maybe this holds true in this particular case. We can’t see any negative vibes. I guess some people are only interested in rumours, assumptions & fuck ups.

Kangna smokes a real joint

Kangna plays Tanu in the film, and she is portrayed as a small town, wild girl. Kangna's character is shown as a girl who is free spirited and has a zest for life. She is bindaas, and a rebel without a cause.

She is shown as a girl who likes to use foul language, smoke, drink and also smoke up!

Kangna's character is very different from any other character she has played till date. In fact, for a scene in TANU WEDS MANU, Kangna was required to smoke a joint. Kangna agreed to the scene without batting an eyelid, as usually for such shots a fake joint is used, and there would be no harmful effects.

However, on that fateful day somebody on the unit decided to play mischief and spiked her joint. Unaware of the latest happening, Kangna innocently smoked the joint, and due to retakes, she smoked the joint many times.

Poor Kangna, didn't realise what hit her! For the next 5 to 6 hours Kangna was only puking and feeling really sick. In fact, Kangna felt so sick that she could not even finish the scene she was shooting for.

The entire unit felt really guilty about the entire incident, and owned to their mischief and even apologised to Kangna. Kangna of course, took in the right spirit. But her condition for the day was so bad that she had to rush home to get some rest.

Says a source from the unit, "We were really worried about Kangna, after she fell really sick because of the spiked joint. We owned up to our mischief and apologized to her. Thankfully she took it in the right spirit, and didn't mind our prank. She was cool."
