Tera Mera Mera Tera Mil Gaya Dil Dil Say – Nagin

They keep on making movies on this subject. This film was released in 1976 & it was a super hit. It was directed & produced by RajkumarKohli. He even made a remake in 2oo6 with his son named as Jaani Dushman: Eik Anokhi Kahani but it was a big time flop & not just that, it was criticized too harshly & is regarded as the worst film ever made on female snakes. I had the misfortune to watch it aur us mein kuch anokha nahin tha.

Nagin had a huge cast & Sunil Dutt is the only guy who survives. Reena Roy was the nagin & by far this one was a much fun fantasy thriller revolving around snakes.

This song has been sung by Kishore Kumar & Suman Kalyanpur.

I think Vinod Mehra looks very cool in this red jacket. I don't think he has ever looked that cool. He was quite a good-looking guy, but we saw him mostly as an ill person or a very poor guy. Aruna Irani is also looking gorgeous. And that brings me to the hottest thing - that fat lady. Who the hell is she?

Till yesterday I had no idea but I couldn't help digging. Her name is Yogeeta Bali. You may not know but she was quite an active actor for 15 years (starting off from early 70s till 1985). She was the third wife of Kishore Kumar. They were married only for two years & then she fell in love with Mithun on the set of Khwab. Naturally she divorced Kishore Kumar & married Mithun. Right now they have four kids. And Kishore Kumar refused to sing for Mithin & that's how the singing career of Bappi Lyari started. Btw, Yogeeta Bali was a computer engineer before she became an actress. Later on she also did her M.Sc. This is the story of Yogeeta, Mithun & Kishore Kumar.

I had no intention of saying anything about the lyrics but now they seem to talk about the story of Yogeeta & the funniest thing is her ex-husband was singing it for both Mithun & Yogeeta :P

Every line now has a different meaning. For instance, 'teray dil kay dard ko main nay apna samaj liye hai, arey abhi pyar mein pehla kadam hai itni jaldi kya hai' 'saath mile muskhi say,' 'milne waalon mil lo aisi mulaakat na hogi, arey baat mein aisi baat bana lo phir yeh baat na hogi,' & last but not least, 'dur nahin manzil say.'

I really enjoyed this song in my childhood & I had no idea that I would be able to make one bitchy, meanie blog post on it. Actually nothing was personal but when you get to know the truth, you can't help adding spice to it just for the heck of fun. Yeh tou hona hee tha Kishore Kumar kay saath. I can't believe that he married the most beautiful woman Madhubala once & then he fell in love with Yogeeta. I'm sure he must have fallen for her figure. I just hope God forgives me for writing such a mean post & it's Friday, so I'm quite optimistic.

Pyaar Zindagi Hai - Muqaddar Ka Sikandar

This clip is much, much longer but it's sure fun to watch. Mudqaddar Ka Sikander was one of the biggest hits. In fact it was a blockbuster in 1978. But it's funny when Amjad Khan was dying, he became all too friendly with Amitabh & just a minute ago, they were enemies. I just find the plot okay. The music is mind-blowing. Other songs are even better.

Well said! What else can one say except that you have the right to fall in love at any age! Actually it's how Amitabh gets jealous, which is amazing. Love is really a strange kind of thing. One turns green just like that. In this situation, his friend was in love with the woman (Raakhee) Amitabh has loved all his life. Even when it's just a crush, it's embarrassing how we get jealous just because the person is talking to some other woman & you know itna husn ki kami hoti un auraton mein...In spite of that, we turn green. That's bad.

Salam - Umrao Jaan Remake

Hindi cinema has always had songs of prostitutes in their movies since forever. The style, lyrics, videos may have changed but they are still pretty much there. Today, they refer to such stuff as item songs but the essence of it remains there. 

There are some movies made on prostitutes and Umrao Jaan is the most popular such works. The original one had Rekha playing the character of Umrao Jaan while in the remake Aishwarya Rai played the role. It is a sad story. Both the movies hurt one's soul as we see the life of a girl and how she ends up in a brothel house. Shows how life can be so challenging for some people.

This song Salaam from the Aishwarya version has nice lyrics with soft vocals. Besides, Aishwarya looks nice  in the gold attire and she is an ab fab dancer as we all know. I do get bothered by the deep neck line but what the heck she was playing the role of a prostitute at the end of the day so one can ignore that.

Abhishekh Bachchan looked quite awesome in this movie and it is quite visible from his short but strong presence in this song as well. I do wish to see him giving some hits now. 

Kaisi Paheli Zindagani - Parineeta

Kaisi Yeh Paheli Zindagani from Parineeta is one of the sexiest songs of recent times that I can watch and listen to any given day. I love the lyrics, the music and the video to the fullest.

Rekha couldn't have done it any better than this. She is not a young woman but she was phenomenal here. In fact, compared to her other guest entries (like Om Shanti Om's various artists song in which she looked like an old witch) I love her expressions in this song...brilliant! The young girl too looks silly and excited in a cute way just apt for the occasion as was shown in the film. She was visiting Moulan Rouge for the first time.

Although, it is a remake of "A Kiss To Build A Dream On" by Louis Armstrong, it is entertaining to the core. I don't mind just re-makes.

Rafta Rafta Dekho Ankh Mairi Lari Hai

This is by far one of my all time favorite Hindi songs. One, because Dharmendra is just super duper awesome in it with his never ending fun and lively energy on screen. Two, I love Kishore Kumar's voice that has made the song just too powerful. And three Rekha looks damn funny and healthy in this like she was in the good old days :)

Rekha Refuses To Work In Rana

Rekha is not interested in working in a highly anticipated movie "Rana" starring Rajnikanth. In Rana, Rajnikanth will be starring against three leading ladies depicting an older woman, a middle aged woman and a young woman.

Remuneration is the only reason why Rekha could not be a part of this project. Apparently, she demanded for 4 crores to work in this movie and the producers could not agree to that. So, now they are considering Hema Malini for this role.

However, another news about Rana is that even Vidya Balan wont work in it because she asked to review the entire script, which the director didn't like. However, Ravi Kumar on the other hand says that the script is not finalized as yet regarding Vidya's story.

So, it seems only Deepika Padukone is a confirmed actress for this movie. While the producers and director are busy finding the other leading ladies for Rajnikanth.

Sarah Jane Dias is the new girl who loves to talk, talk and talk to the media. The first time I read about her on this blog was when she was talking about Ranbir and Abhishek endlessly in her interview. Then I reported how she talks about her accent and that people mistake her as someone who cannot speak in Hindi at all.

Recently, she revealed that she wants to be a perfectionist just like the legends of Hindi cinema. She has set plans for herself to work hard on her dialogue delivery and reach the level that has been set by AMITABH BACHCHAN and REKHA.

Well that is quite a noble thought by Sarah but I think this is a daunting task. Amitabh and Rekha -they are the gods of acting. She can learn a thing or two from actors like Tushaar Kapoor or Arshad Warsi perhaps...that should be good enough for her if she gets too many roles after GAME.
